This role is responsible for designing, programming, integrating, and commissioning complex HVAC control systems and serving as a technical authority across projects.This is an opportunity to join a family-owned company with more than 25 years of experience, a strong reputation for integrity and technical excellence, and a culture built around a simple mission: Lead and Serve.Why This Opportunity Stands OutMake an Impact: Your work directly contributes to the success of our customers, projects, and company.Do Meaningful Work: Take on challenges that allow you to apply your expertise, solve problems, and create value.Be Part of a Team: Collaborate with talented professionals who value accountability, communication, and shared success.Keep Growing: Learn from experienced industry professionals and gain opportunities to expand your skills and career.Build Something Long-Term: Join a family-owned company that values relationships, invests in its people, and is committed to continued growth.What You'll DoDesign and implement complex HVAC control systems using Distech GFX and Niagara, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to develop controls engineers and programmers, reinforcing engineering standards and best practices.Develop and review detailed control schematics, risers, and layouts to support accurate installation and commissioning.Work closely with project managers, field technicians, and engineers to translate designs into executable systems.Ensure all engineering deliverables meet MRG quality standards from design through final system turnover.Support field execution and project delivery in coordination with Controls Operations.Lead or support high-level system integrations, network strategy, and third-party coordination.Provide advanced technical support, customer training, and system walkthroughs to ensure a successful handoff.What Will Help You SucceedYou may be a strong fit if you bring:10+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer supporting commercial HVAC systemsExpert-level experience with Distech Controls (ECLYPSE/ECB platforms)Expert-level experience with Niagara including station architecture, drivers, licensing, and securityStrong system-level troubleshooting and integration experienceKnowledge of BACnet, MS/TP, BACnet/IP, Modbus, and networked BAS architectureDeep understanding of commercial HVAC equipment (AHU's, VAV's, boilers, chillers, etc.)Ability to read, interpret, and review construction documents and blueprints, along with strong written and verbal communication skills for customer and team interactionSelf-directed, accountable, and customer-focused mindsetA valid driver's license, safe driving record, and be able and willing to operate company-owned vehiclesA collaborative approach, personal accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
