SUMMARY:

Sets up and operate CNC to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts such as castings, forgings, and bar stock by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Comply with all safety policies and procedures while actively participating to create a Zero Harm culture at work and at homeActively participate in continuous improvement to meet and exceed customer expectationsPrioritize daily work to ensure customer delivery is metComplete ERP transactions and load CNC programs using a computerLoad material including bronze, stainless steel, and plastics up to 7" diameterSetup CNC machine including: selecting jaws, setting work, changing tools, touching-off tools, inspecting and changing inserts, loading correct program, and adjusting tool offsetsMaintain working knowledge of G & M codesVerify proper machine operation including speeds & feeds, tool wear, and surface finishReview manufacturing drawings and verify product specification using measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, and CMMVerify measuring equipment calibration dailyProperly complete required paperworkParticipate in daily preventative maintenance and cleaning scheduleAbility to multi-task and run multiple machines simultaneously

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS :

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Basic computer skillsMaintains a positive attitude towards team members and the organizationReinforces others efforts and meets commitments to the teamLooks for solutions versus blameLooks for opportunities to help or service other departments

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE :

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with experience in industrial manufacturing.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY :

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $27.50 - $30.80per hour

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
