Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Dubuque, IA, requiring a minimum of 24 months of ED experience and proficiency with critical care drips on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Emergency Department
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 36 hrs/week
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday rotation required — must work 1–2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day
• EMR: Epic (highly preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (can be obtained during onboarding)
• Minimum 24 months of current ED/ER experience required
• Drip/titration experience required, including cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and all critical care/emergency medicine drips
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation experience required
• Driver's license required
• Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Epic EMR experience is highly preferred

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former employees of UPH (FTE or PRN, including float pool) within the past 12 months are not eligible, regardless of which UPH facility they worked at
