About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of Emergency Department experience required License: Active Iowa or compact multistate license required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - NIH Stroke Scale - Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC) Must-Have: - 24 months of current Emergency Department experience - Drip and titration experience in cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin - Telemetry measuring and reading experience - Highly preferred experience with EPIC EMR Description: Must be able to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. The bed size is 16 with a patient ratio of 3:1. Scrubs must be grey and solid. Candidates should possess an active professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO from within the last 24 months. AHA certification for Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support is required. NIH Stroke Scale certification is also needed and can be obtained during onboarding.
