Specialty Care Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Endocrinology

Specialty Nurse Position

The Specialty Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide clinical care and support department partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes. The Specialty Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information required to identify needs of the patient relative to his/her age and condition. The Specialty Nurse possesses specialized knowledge, skills and training to provide care to patients with complex pathology and operates at a higher level with larger amounts of autonomy than a Staff Nurse in ECU Health's Specialty Clinics.

Minimum Requirements

• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Current license as a RN in the state of North Carolina.
• Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice.
• Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 3+ years directly related specialty experience
• Pediatric experience is preferred
• Management of diabetic care is preferred
• CDE (Certified Diabetic Educator) is preferred

Pay Range

• Specialty Care RN salary range > $68806.40 - $100294.48
• Final compensation is determined at the offer stage.

• Location/Department: ECU Health Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic (outpatient) - Greenville, NC
• This position is full-time (40hrs/week) - Flexible Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with rotating education time at the hospital (3-4hrs)
• No nights, weekends, call or holidays
