RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary : The intern will assist the Manager with projects related to the department and gain knowledge of school district operations. Essential Duties : Support department with ongoing or new projects. Conduct general administrative tasks as assigned. Coordinate and schedule meetings and events on behalf of department teams. Assist in programs and policies as requested. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Training : Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude for work in the department. Experience : Knowledge and experience related to the internship responsibilities. Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations : None. Skills, Knowledge, & Equipment : Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications; ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments; strong verbal and written communication; telephone etiquette; high integrity and confidentiality. Decision Making : Make decisions under direction of Manager, ensuring compliance with district policies and laws. Community Relations : Daily contact with staff to discuss internal matters and maintain relationships. Supervision / Technical Responsibility : No supervisory responsibilities. Educational Delivery : Support district mission of student achievement; majority of time not spent on school site. Complexity of Work : Independent thinking, judgment, analytical skills, interpretation of laws and policies. Physical Demands : Sit, talk or hear regularly; walk frequently; occasionally stand or lift up to 10 lbs; require close vision. Mental Functions : Compare, analyze, communicate, coordinate, negotiate, compute, evaluate, compile. Work Environment : Moderate noise level.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT

The successful new hire or rehired candidate will be responsible to complete and incur the fingerprinting and processing fee of $54.50 through an appropriate vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
