Direct Support Professional - (DSP)

Overview Aspire Living & Learning supports neurodiverse children and adults across New England and Maryland with person-centered services, including education, behavioral health, residential, and community-based supports. Our aim is to help people live more independently in their communities by leveraging their interests, choices, and strengths. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support in a Catonsville, MD Baltimore County residential setting. The DSP will assist with daily activities, household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness, and will represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served while contributing input on program planning and implementation. Rate of Pay: $18.20 per hour Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Assist with daily activities, household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities. Represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served and contribute input on program planning and implementation. Collaborate with team members to support person-centered goals. Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting strongly preferred. Basic computer skills; experience using Therap is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping others. High School Diploma or GED required.
