Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Conduct respiratory therapy assessments and follow protocols
• Perform arterial punctures and blood gas analysis
• Manage ventilator and NIV therapy
• Deliver medications and manage airway clearance
• Assist with intubations, tracheostomy changes, and bedside procedures
• Participate in ICU rounds and emergency response teams
• Transport patients within the hospital

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• Minimum 2 years recent respiratory therapy experience
• Level 1 trauma, ICU, and preferably ER experience
• Experience in facilities with 300+ beds
• RRT - NBRC certification preferred, CRT considered
• BLS - AHA certification required
• ND state license or willingness to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance
