Tax ManagerLaSalle Network is hiring for a Tax Manager in Evanston, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to take ownership of client relationships, lead high-impact projects and play a key role in a growing public accounting environment. The ideal Tax Manager is a strategic thinker, trusted advisor and strong leader who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused culture.What's the Job?Prepare and review complex corporate, partnership, S-corporation, consolidated, individual and trust tax returnsLead tax research projects requiring advanced technical expertiseManage client engagements while ensuring deadlines and budgets are consistently metOversee budgeting, billing and work-in-progress managementMonitor accounts receivable and ensure timely follow-upIdentify tax planning opportunities and recommend additional servicesAnalyze IRS, state and local tax notices and draft responsesSupervise, mentor and develop staff accountantsLead formal training initiatives and support team developmentParticipate in business development and community networking activitiesDeliver exceptional client service aligned with THG's One Firm Way approachWhat's Needed?Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field10+ years of tax and public accounting experienceCPA certification preferredAdvanced knowledge of corporate, partnership and individual taxationExperience managing client relationships and engagement profitabilityStrong leadership, delegation and coaching abilitiesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding organizational and project management skillsProficiency with CCH Axcess or equivalent tax softwareAdvanced Microsoft Office Suite skillsWhat's in It for Me?$100,000-$120,000 base salary12% annual bonus opportunityMedical, Dental and Vision coverage401(k) with company matchHybrid work scheduleOpportunity to lead, mentor and influence firm growthHigh visibility with leadership and clientsIf you're a driven Tax Manager looking for the next step in your career, this role offers the chance to make a measurable impact while building meaningful client relationships and developing future accounting leaders.
