Assistant Credit Controller, Credit Specialist Location: Iselin, USA Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Assistant Credit Controller, Credit Specialist Time Type: Full Time ***This is in-office position, not remote*** Job Description The position of Credit Specialist works as a member of the credit team located in Iselin NJ. The primary responsibility will be to compile customer credit information which is submitted to our credit insurance company to conduct credit investigations to determine risk. The incumbent will work closely with all entities of DSV, supporting all of North America. This candidate will understand external credit agency reports, such as Dun & B&S and Credit Risk Monitor. This position reports to the Supervisor of Credit. Responsibilities Receive, review, and submit to management Customer Profile Request Form from customers seeking credit approval or uplift in credit. Assist in preparation and submission of the monthly premium insurance declarations through the Atradius website. Conduct credit investigations and analyze diverse credit information based on internal and external credit sources. Work proactively to ensure customers do not exceed their credit limit. Prepare internal and detailed Credit Agreement Forms to determine internal risk where insurance has not been secured. Communicate with business and sales teams during customer application/review process. Provide management with comprehensive summary gathered factors as they pertain to credit risk. Ad hoc projects, as needed. Skills/Qualifications Three years of progressively responsible experience in Credit Department preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, particularly V- Lookup/Pivots/Formulas. Understanding of D&B and Experian Credit Report data for B2B credit decisions preferred. Understanding of the factors that go into making credit decisions. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must have excellent analytical skills and pay attention to details. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise independent judgment and analysis. Must present a professional, business-like manner and excellent customer service skills. SAP experience preferred. For this position, the expected base pay range is $22.50 - $30.50 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
