What You Will Be Doing We are seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation of complex technical solutions. This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. Modeling & Simulation Engineer tasks include:Design, develop, and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architectureDevelop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile/rocket/interceptor/UAS 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulationsEvaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirementsLeverage GNC principles to design digital representations of prototype systems for performance evaluations and trade studiesSupport ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activitiesSupport program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customersWhy Join Us We are committed to supporting your work-life balance and overall well-being, offering flexible scheduling options Learn more about Lockheed Martin's comprehensive benefits package here. Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.Basic QualificationsPost Secondary STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.Must be a US Citizen as an Interim Clearance is required to start.Candidate must have fundamental proficiency in C++.Proficient in either MATLAB or Python.Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments based on completed course work or professional experience:Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithmsDevelop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulationsDemonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformationsDesired SkillsProficiency with Python and LinuxExperience with Agile developmentExperience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as GitStrong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skillsActive Secret Clearance Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
