Patient Registration Representative (Sunday to Wednesday Day Shift)

Patient Access Customer Service Representative – Austin, TX – Ascension Seton Medical Center Shift Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday, 7AM – 5:30PM Base Pay: $16.12 – $23.21 per hour (dependent on role, level, experience, and education) Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with the check-in process using multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently. Answer phones and quickly gather accurate patient information in a fast-paced environment. Support timely access to care by minimizing registration delays and answering questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion. Build trust with patients who may be ill, anxious, confused, or overwhelmed. Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details, enter demographics and medical data, collect co‑pays, and provide cost estimates when applicable. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow. Qualifications Exceptional customer service experience, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly with high attention to detail. Comfortable with shifting priorities based on patient needs. Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus (not required).
