Director of Finance - Miramar

Ontic is seeking a Finance Director who will report to the Finance Director (West Coast) and will work onsite in Miramar, FL. The role includes responsibilities across financial controls, reporting, audit, budgeting, and process improvement. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant. 5+ years of experience in a large multinational company. Experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering finance function (preferred). Strong system capability and excellent Excel skills. Excellent written communication skills and ability to produce presentations. Experience managing and developing a team. Responsibilities Ensure that financial controls and processes meet statutory, legal, and Group requirements. Lead external and internal audits, ensuring audit requirements are met. Oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for Ontic and CVC. Conduct month‑end review of detailed financials, including variance analysis, and brief the management team on status. Perform routine financial reporting and functions such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L statements, cash flows, month‑end management accounts, and cash flow forecasting. Oversee credit management and controls. Support purchase accounting for new acquisitions and/or licenses in accordance with Ontic and Group policies (US GAAP). Ensure group insurance requirements are met. Review and approve capital expenditure requests with robust financial business cases. Ensure timely and accurate payroll preparation. Provide effective and accurate inventory analysis. Review and update company policies and procedures to meet changing business needs, ensuring controls reflect those changes and maintain integrity and relevance of financial and business assets. Lead integration of finance processes and procedures for all new product‑line integrations in Miramar. Manage the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes and perform monthly budget‑to‑actual reviews with department managers. Develop robust inventory controls across the business, including accurate cycle counting, aged WIP, and defective material reporting. Benefits Comprehensive medical insurance.
