Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting. Utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, and implement patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions through thorough assessments to determine urgent care needs.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective treatment, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care tailored to age, culture, and literacy levels.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel and supervise their execution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessment findings, interventions, and patient progress.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and active Colorado RN license or Compact license.
• Possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have at least two years of hospital nursing experience, with one year in Emergency Department or Critical Care preferred.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and meet health requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
