Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule:
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Schedule: 3 x 12s (36 hours/week)
- Weekend coverage: Required

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years L&D experience required
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Advanced certification or NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu
- EPIC charting experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care during labor and delivery, assisting in vaginal and C-section deliveries.
- Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring; interpret fetal monitoring data.
- Start and maintain IVs, administer medications and manage infusion pumps.
- Assess and manage postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate, and oxytocin/Pitocin administration.
- Conduct neonatal assessments, including APGAR scoring and non-stress tests (NSTs).
- Support patients during epidural and anesthesia procedures.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Fingerprinting compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start; immediate completion of Ohio fingerprinting required upon booking.
- Vaccines: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- Two professional references required; at least one must be a manager/director.
