Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor IIs, the Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I (PSDS I) provides supervision for the Public Safety Dispatchers and Public Safety Operators; coordinates and prepares monthly and daily work schedules; responsible for training dispatch personnel and establishing training needs and guidelines; prepares probationary and annual performance appraisals; accountable for daily and monthly payroll paperwork; responsible for appropriate coverage on the dispatch floor; participates in pre-employment interviews; and other duties as assigned.

This position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed designated on the Classification Specifications (link available in the minimum requirements section).
