We need a big data professional like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence.As a senior Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your expertise to lead data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll oversee the development and deployment of pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you'll guide and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll use your expertise in analytical exploration and data examination while you oversee the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.In this role, you will also support code environments using Python and SQL, translating and modernizing analytics workflows across platforms. You'll lead the development of shared libraries and modular code repositories, ensuring maintainability and consistency across enterprise teams. Your experience with Palantir Foundry will be critical as you collaborate on onboarding programs to the platform and drive adoption through training, integration, and architecture support. The world can't wait.You Have:5+ years of experience with PySpark, SQL, distributed data processing, and enterprise-scale data engineering5+ years of experience designing, developing, owning, and maintaining end-to-end production data pipelines5+ years of experience with data architecture, including schema design, Medallion architecture, partitioning strategies, and performance optimization5+ years of experience collaborating with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, and delivering technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences2+ years of experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Job orchestration2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, or cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with Palantir Foundry, including pipeline development, transformation logic, and data modelingExperience supervising others and leading deliverables in cross-functional environmentsAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirementsBachelor's degreeNice If You Have:Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering and app services using Azure DevOps or equivalent toolingExperience with Generative AI, including RAG, LLMs, and embedding models, and delivering AI-driven business solutionsExperience implementing data quality, observability, monitoring, data security, and enterprise data governanceKnowledge of Agile development methodologies, DevOps, and DataOPs practicesVetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
