CHANGING LANES, LLC is seeking a Certified Driving Instructor to deliver high-quality driver education in a supportive, learner-focused environment.
Position SummaryAs a Certified Driving Instructor, you will guide students through structured lessons that build safe driving skills, confidence, and responsible decision-making on the road. You will teach using established curricula while adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs.
This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dundalk, MD, and is ideal for a professional who is patient, safety-minded, and committed to helping students become capable, road-ready drivers.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on and classroom-style instruction that supports students in mastering safe driving techniques and traffic laws
Deliver lessons according to established lesson plans, performance standards, and program requirements
Assess student progress, identify skill gaps, and coach students with clear, constructive feedback
Ensure lessons are conducted safely, professionally, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies
Maintain accurate records of instruction, attendance, and progress in accordance with program guidelines
Active certification as a driving instructor (as required by applicable laws and program standards)
Proven ability to teach and coach learners in a professional, safety-focused manner
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safe driving practices, and defensive driving principles
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle safely during instruction
Availability to work part-time and deliver consistent instruction schedules
Experience teaching students with varying driving experience levels, including first-time drivers
Familiarity with driver education program standards and instructor documentation practices
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods
Demonstrated professionalism and reliability in handling student and scheduling needs
Hourly rate: $15.00 - $20.00
$44 - $50 per hour
