Craft Recruiter

Position Summary The Craft Recruiter assists in all recruitment efforts for craft candidates across the DPR Family of Companies in the Central, SW, Rocky Mountain, and NW regions. The role collaborates with field operations, hiring managers, and support groups to identify hiring needs and provide recruitment solutions, executing full life‑cycle craft recruiting and employment activities. Responsibilities Open and create requisitions in Workday as requested by leadership and hiring managers. Perform phone and in‑person screening of applicants, assess skill level and fit, and route candidates appropriately. Execute the full recruitment and hiring process from sourcing, interview coordination, extending offers, and assisting with onboarding. Build and maintain relationships with local and national resources to develop a pipeline of craft candidates. Schedule interviews and logistics, track and escalation of issues. Collaborate with the Craft Recruiting Manager to develop recruiting strategies. Manage multiple requisitions and projects simultaneously. Build relationships with active, passive, and past candidates and referrals. Act with a positive candidate experience throughout sourcing to onboarding. Attract quality craft candidates through internet, social media, job boards, cold calling, data mining, networking, employee referrals, and events. Assist with organizing local and regional networking/hiring events, including job fairs, schools, trade shows, speaking engagements, military events, and student career events. Maintain updated job descriptions, interview guides, and other relevant materials. Utilize applicant tracking system to maintain accurate documentation of candidates and hiring manager interactions. Assist with DPR Family of Companies recruiting initiatives as requested. Ensure legal compliance within the talent acquisition process. Attend weekly and monthly staffing meetings with Operations and Field Leadership. Coordinate with Craft Coordinators to enhance the overall craft candidate and employee experience. Travel to job sites and Business Unit offices as needed to support craft recruiting and training initiatives within the region. Qualifications 3–5 years of full‑life‑cycle construction/electrical craft recruitment experience. Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred. High School Diploma/GED required; additional degree or certifications a plus. Ability to recruit and build pipelines for craft positions on a regional and national level. Experience with job posting, sourcing, resume searches, cold calling, and related activities. Experience coordinating, leading, and planning job fairs, career events, and building relationships with technical schools/programs. Willingness to travel throughout the area of responsibility. Experience with ATS (Workday) and tracking candidate progress. Knowledge of data mining, Boolean searches, etc. Strong influencing skills without authority and candidate‑centric in a shared leadership environment. Ability to manage recruiting resources and financial impacts of day‑to‑day recruiting activities. Confidentiality and selection decision handling. Well‑versed in the construction industry and DPR’s competitors. Ability to recruit for craft positions across region and multiple sites. Prioritization, communication, and adaptability skills. Proficiency in MS Office, Applicant Tracking Systems, and related HRIS. Workday, Power BI, Monday.com, CMIC, and Smartsheets experience is a plus. Excellent communication, positive attitude, organizational, detail‑oriented, and multi‑tasking skills. High level of creativity, motivation, and professionalism; ability to think independently and proactively solve problems.
