Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health

Location: Dulles, Virginia
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | No Weekends
Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation & Relocation

• Salary Range: $100,000 – $145,000 annually

• Relocation Assistance: Available (subject to HR approval)

• Placement Fee: 20% of annual salary (split per contract terms)

Position Overview

A growing acute care hospital in Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to lead day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Nursing Department. The facility is a 120+ bed acute care hospital serving the surrounding community and offers a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.

This leadership role partners closely with House Supervisors and Charge Nurses to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery, regulatory compliance, and staff engagement within an acute behavioral health setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Behavioral Health Nursing Department

• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to House Supervisors and Charge Nurses

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards

• Support staff engagement, performance improvement, and clinical excellence initiatives

• Foster a culture of compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health care

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Clinical Team Lead in a Behavioral Health unit within an acute care setting

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 30 days of hire
