Hours: Contract (estimated 20 - 25 hours/week) Contract Rate: Commensurate with experience and fundraising success Background & Scope of Responsibility Location: This is a nationwide remote position within the United States. Who We Are: EVHybridNoire is a national 501 (c) (3) membership-based organization. The nation's largest network of diverse EV advocates. We engage and work with communities both urban and rural as well as key stakeholders, advancing multimodal clean transportation. Our Mission: EVHybridNoire's mission is to accelerate multimodal zero-emission mobility and advance mobility solutions that are beneficial to all communities. Our Work: EVHybridNoire engages with stakeholders who face unique barriers to accessing and benefiting from EVs and other multimodal e-mobility solutions (e.g., examples include zero-emission transit buses, electric school buses, and zero-emission car share, etc.). Our work involves a mix of local engagement, advocacy, decision-maker education, emobility engagement campaigns, media outreach, speaking engagements, and research. That work spans many aspects of e-mobility, including workforce development (Emobility Fellowship Pipeline Program), public health, data collection and analysis, multimodal mobility, and creative financing of e-mobility solutions. As we expand our impact and grow strategically, EVHybridNoire is seeking a Development Consultant to lead our philanthropic fundraising and development strategy. This consultant will play a critical role in securing new and growing existing revenue to support general operations, restricted programmatic initiatives, and the launch of a long-term endowment.

Description of Duties

Philanthropic Strategy and Revenue Generation (~60%) Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy that aligns with organizational goals and growth targets. Cultivate relationships with philanthropic funders including foundations, donor-advised funds, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate philanthropy partners. Identify new funding streams and manage a pipeline of prospective donors. Design a sustainable strategy for unrestricted and restricted giving, including multi-year gifts and planned giving options.

Grant Writing and Fund Development (~25%) Lead the drafting and submission of compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry. Work collaboratively with internal teams to align fundraising priorities with programmatic goals. Develop tools and templates to streamline proposal development and donor reporting.

Strategic Development Advising (~15%) Advise the leadership team on launching an organizational endowment, including feasibility, models, and donor positioning. Recommend systems for donor cultivation, tracking, and stewardship (e.g., CRM systems). Contribute to a long-term funding roadmap that supports EVHybridNoire's national and community-based impact.

Qualifications Required:

5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or philanthropy strategy Demonstrated success securing 7 to 8+ figure grants or donations Strong research, presentation and writing skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to advise or lead capital campaigns, endowments, or major giving programs Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment Exceptional relationship-building skills, adept at engaging diverse stakeholders with professionalism and empathy Strong project management abilities, including ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and strategic goals Strong attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to prioritize work and manage competing priorities in a collaborative manner

Preferred:

Understanding of clean transportation, sustainability, workforce and economic development, public health, climate justice, or equity-related sectors Experience advising or working in executive or board development settings Familiarity with donor platforms or CRMs such as Hubspot, Salesforce or Bloomerang

Compensation Commensurate with experience and demonstrated fundraising success.
