Medical TranscriptionistMaimonides currently has a great opportunity for a medical transcriptionist to document patient encounters in real-time to streamline the work flow and improve the quality of patient care.ResponsibilitiesDocumenting patient history, physical exam and treatment plan into the electronic medical record.Communication with provider – ensuring all information is correct and complete.Comply with all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.Clerical tasks as needed (chart prep before patient appointments)QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.2+ years' experience as a medical secretary or scribe/transcriptionist preferred.Excellent English written and verbal skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentMust pass basic word processing and data entry skills tests. Typing: 45 wpm (tested)Knowledge of medical terminology.Pay range: USD $30.60 - USD $31.17 /Hr.Maimonides Medical Center (MMC) is an equal opportunity employer.
