Job Description
Law firm is hiring. The shift for this position is Wednesday through Sunday 8am-4pm.
\n \nThe Legal Word Processor formats, edits, and finalizes complex legal documents and court filings according to strict firm and court standards.
\nA specialized Legal Word Processor job description typically includes the following core components:

- Document Formatting: Format, edit, and proofread legal documents, briefs, pleadings, and contracts using advanced word processing features and firm-specific style guides. \n
- Compliance: Ensure all generated materials comply with local, state, and federal court formatting and filing requirements. \n
- Document Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and clean up corrupted or improperly formatted legacy documents, tables of authorities, and tables of contents. \n
- Collaboration: Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to manage high-volume document production under tight deadlines. \n
Key Requirements

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in legal studies, secretarial science, or a related field is a plus. \n
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a word processor or document specialist in a legal or corporate financial setting. \n
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word (including styles, captions, and numbering), Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and document comparison tools (like Workshare or Litera). \n
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to remain calm and accurate under pressure. \n
