Supply Technician

Overview Raytheon operates and maintains the Navy’s three Relocatable Over The Horizon Radars (ROTHR). Each radar monitors a 4‑million‑square‑mile area across the Caribbean, Eastern Pacific, Central, and South America. This position, located in Freer, TX, supports the ROTHR mission to track and report aircraft and ships carrying illicit narcotics. Compensation Service contract position. Hourly rate: $27.44/hour with a Health & Welfare benefit of $6.00/hour. No relocation is provided. Responsibilities Manage all supply functions for the Freer, TX site, including Parts, Equipment, and Materials requisitions, hand‑receipts, scheduling, inventory management, storage, cataloging, and property utilization. Coordinate administrative and technical supply documentation in compliance with governing supply systems, programs, policies, and established guidelines. Maintain databases of employee data, statistical usage, and scenario management files; support the onsite technical library. Control inventory of decentralized and decontrolled items, ensuring accurate property records in the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) and completion of Return‑to‑Vendor (RTV) activities for repairable assets. Operate a forklift and perform occasional travel to other ROTHR program sites for inventory and property management duties. Execute additional duties as assigned within the supply regulation framework. Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least one year of relevant experience in supply or logistics. Good working knowledge of supply systems, programs, policies, and nomenclature. Understanding of the ROTHR program, MMIS, and procurement procedures. Forklift certification and clean motor‑vehicle driving record. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Previous or current clearance is preferred. Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, and recommend actions based on established guidelines. Strong work ethic, ability to multitask, and meticulous attention to detail.
