Program Manager

Department Overview Power Generation operates and maintains PG&E's hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation and battery storage facilities, providing approximately 5,300 megawatts of generating capacity for our customers. Our over 900 coworkers are dedicated to delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective generation to California in an environmentally responsible manner. Our hydro facilities include 62 conventional hydro powerhouses, a pumped-storage facility, 98 reservoirs, 168 dams and more than 200 miles of canals and flumes, among other water conveyances. Natural gas-fired plants in operation are Humboldt Bay Generating Station in Eureka; Colusa Generating Station in Colusa County and Gateway Generating Station in Antioch. Several utility-scale solar generation plants also are operated and maintained, as well as PG&E's successful entry into battery energy storage, our Elkhorn Battery facility at Moss Landing in Monterey County. Position Summary Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives. Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s). Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts. Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program. Partnering with the Marketing organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach appropriate customer audience at the appropriate time. Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners. Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators. Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E. Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures. Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels. This position is "hybrid", with an expectation of coming into the office 1x/week (subject to change due to business needs) Position will require approximately 25% of travel time in work schedule. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: California Minimum:$81,000 California Maximum: $121,000 This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs. Qualifications- Minimum: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience 3 years of related experience or equivalent Desired: Full understanding of Program Management. Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities both in written and verbal form Knowledge of current utility and energy industry issues, industry trends and political, economic and social issues affecting the market. Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information.
