Staff Accountant

STAND 8 provides end-to-end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and internationally in Mexico and India. We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-level Staff Accountant to support financial operations and ensure accurate reporting during a period of growth. This role will focus on core accounting functions such as reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities while maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in subscription-based revenue environments and contribute to improving financial processes and reporting accuracy. This position plays a critical role in supporting financial transparency and operational efficiency. Location & Work Type Location: Jacksonville, FL Work Type: Hybrid Key Responsibilities Own and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Manage subscription revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 (SaaS-specific) Prepare journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP Maintain general ledger integrity, including account and invoice reconciliations Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain audit-ready documentation and processes Assist with external audits and support regulatory reporting requirements Provide support for annual financial statement audits, ad hoc analyses, and revenue-related projects Preferred Qualifications Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or technology. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and subscription management tools (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee). Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
