Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a results-oriented Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical and MEP projects from planning through closeout. The role oversees HVAC, plumbing, piping and related systems for commercial construction and manufacturing projects, ensuring on time delivery, budget control, quality workmanship and compliance with specifications and codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost control, change orders and invoicing to meet financial and contractual goals.
• Coordinate design review, constructability and value-engineering with engineers, architects, contractors and clients; resolve technical issues.
• Oversee procurement and subcontractor/vendor selection, negotiation and performance to ensure timely delivery.
• Supervise on-site construction, quality control, safety compliance and adherence to specs and codes.
• Maintain project documentation (schedules, submittals, RFIs, ASIs, closeout) and report progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate MEP integration with electrical and other trades to minimize clashes during installation/commissioning.
• Mentor and manage project team (APMs, Project Engineers, field staff); delegate and drive accountability.
• Lead commissioning, start-up, testing and handover; manage warranty and post-construction support.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management and construction/mechanical installation practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing mechanical/MEP projects in commercial construction or manufacturing; PM, Project Engineer or APM experience preferred.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, MEP coordination and electrical interfaces.
• Strong project management skills: scope development, scheduling (MS Project or similar), cost control and contract administration.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
