Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for an Operating Room position focused on Liver and Transplant cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive transplant experience, proficiency with specific surgical technologies, and the ability to manage complex organ reimplantation procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform intraoperative nursing duties for liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant surgeries.
• Prepare and operate surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Assist in organ retrieval, preservation, and placement during transplant procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Complete time-sensitive required modules prior to assignment and maintain compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of direct liver/transplant RN experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Misonix and CUSA surgical devices.
• Possess current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Certified in NIHSS (or obtain prior to start).
• Proven experience in organ reimplantation, not just harvesting.
• Be nicotine-free with a recent negative 10-panel plus cotinine drug screen.
