About the Position

Shift: 7p-7a, every other weekend and holidays as required (Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week) ? and has 16 hours of Non-Billable Orientation. OT is after 48 hours regardless of a 36 or 48 hours per week. Unit won?t

Requirements

Certs: AHA BLS ? License: AL or Compact License (No temp Licenses accepted) ? Must have experience/skill set: 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty. Must have ASN degree. ? Unit Info: Our General Surgical Unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in exceptional postoperative care for our general surgical patients. Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and are trained in all aspects of postoperative care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. In this area, we especially value a comfortable and healing environment for each individual patient and their unique needs. This team will closely collaborate with local family practice physicians, hospitalists, as well as our surgeons. ? Floating: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. ? Ratios: Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and are trained in all aspects of postoperative care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. ? Charting System: Meditech ? Additional Information: Facility can cancel 4 shift per contract with no penalty (would be rare)
