Senior Benefits Specialist - Leave and Accommodations This role oversees the administration and processing of leave of absence and ADA accommodation requests across our U.S. offices. It manages the full lifecycle of the Leave and ADA processes, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations (including NY, CA, DC, and DE) while delivering exceptional support to employees and the management team. Base pay $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Additional compensation Annual Bonus Responsibilities Administer new hire onboarding and offboarding of attorneys Conduct new hire benefits orientation for attorneys Assist employees with benefits enrollment, qualifying life event changes, and benefits education Coordinate and process all types of leave of absence including: FMLA, Medical Disability (Short Term and Long Term), state-specific Paid Family Leave, New York Paid Prenatal Leave, Workers’ Compensation Coordinate requests for ADA and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act Accommodations, communicate with management team, and engage in the interactive process with employee Monitor and administer claims, generate reports, and communicate with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel, and attorneys Serve as a point of contact and liaison with HR, Legal Personnel, and Payroll to communicate payment eligibility for employees on approved leave Maintain accurate records and assist employees to ensure effective use of benefits Ensure that all leave requests are handled fairly and in accordance with local and federal laws Stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations regarding different types of leaves Collaborate with other departments to support all employee needs Identify and develop best practices and process improvements, providing excellent client and employee experience Qualifications 5-7+ years of Human Resources and Benefits experience in a law firm environment Hands-on Leave of Absence (LOA) and ADA Accommodations experience Experience with employee benefits administration systems (ADP preferred) Knowledge of state and federal HR compliance Bachelor's Degree required Seniority level Senior Employment type Full-time Job function Human Resources Industries Law Practice Legal Services Professional Services #J-18808-Ljbffr Coda Search│Staffing
