IT Project Coordinator The IT Project Coordinator will serve as the head of the project management team for the development of PavementWorks and the IT&T Liaison, responsible for attending the quarterly IT forums, as well as the IT Governance Designee responsible for submitting project requests and the IT governance process for the division. The candidate will represent the Division's interests during the replacement process and coordinate the development with DOT's IT group. Duties will include: supervision and oversight of efforts to review business requirements, ensuring that the Division's position is accurately articulated; attending various meetings; preparation of written and oral progress reports; ensuring that high-level business requirements are translated into detailed functional specifications to facilitate high-quality project success; attending regular development meetings with IT&T, gathering and transmitting necessary information; developing plans for working out hardware solutions and their rollout; interfacing with office and operational personnel to facilitate information gathering, testing, training, and rollout processes. Conduct demos, oversee ongoing QA application testing, develop training materials and manuals, and conduct ongoing training sessions to ensure the success of application adoption. Develop and implement a rollout plan for the application end users. Supervise the management of multiple projects in order to streamline the development process. Interface with team members, the management team, the Assistant Commissioner, and the Deputy Commissioner; and perform duties related to the management of IT reporting in the Division. Work Location: 55 Water St, New York, NY 10041 Hours: 35 Hours Per Week Minimum Qualifications A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; each 30 semester credits of college or university education leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration; a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the disciplines described above; a Juris Doctor degree; a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Registered Landscape Architect. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in 1 above; A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of college or university education and/or experience described in 1 above to make up the equivalent of five years of education and experience. One year of experience credit will be given for: (a) each 30 semester credits of college or university education leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration; (b) a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the disciplines described in 1 above; (c) a Juris Doctor degree, or (d) a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Registered Landscape Architect.
