We're looking for team players who take pride in their work, enjoy problem-solving, and want to grow their skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.Job Overview - Produce all types of signage - interior, exterior, illuminated, non-illuminated, post and panels, sign boxes, and pylonsReports to - Fabrication ManagerWork Location - In ShopPosition Type - Full Time - HourlyRequirementsRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine project specifications and fabrication requirementsMeasure, cut, bend, weld, and assemble materials including aluminum, steel, acrylic, plastics, and vinylSafely and efficiently operate shop tools and equipment such as saws, brakes, shears, welders, routers, and drillsPrepare, finish, and assemble sign components according to design and quality standardsInstall LED lighting, wiring, and other electrical components for illuminated signage when requiredEnsure accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship in all fabricated productsRecord job details in production software by updating hours, closing work orders, and documenting materials, procedures, and specificationsCommunicate project updates, changes, delays, or issues promptly to the Fabrication ManagerCollaborate with other production departments to resolve issues and ensure efficient workflow and on-time deliveryMonitor and manage material usage to minimize waste and control production costsMaintain assigned tools and equipment in proper working conditionFollow established quality control procedures to minimize rework and ensure projects meet standards and deadlinesInspect finished signs for accuracy, quality, and compliance with drawings and specificationsLoad, move, and stage materials and completed signs for shipping, delivery, or installationAssist with on-site sign installation as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace throughout the workday and at the end of each shiftEnsure that OSHA and company safety standards are followedOther duties as assignedSkills & QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.RequiredTechnical SkillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work ordersHands-on experience with sign fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly of metals, plastics, acrylics, and vinylProficient in the safe operation of shop tools and equipment (saws, shears, brakes, welders, routers, drills, sanders, etc.)Accurate measuring, marking, and cutting skills with strong basic math abilitiesKnowledge of finishing techniques such as painting, laminating, and surface preparationWorking knowledge of computers and the Windows environmentWork Quality & Problem SolvingStrong attention to detail and craftsmanshipAbility to troubleshoot problems and develop practical solutionsAbility to multitask in a schedule-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and qualityTeamwork & CommunicationEffective communication and collaboration with other team membersAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to take direction and learn new skillsSafety & Work HabitsAdherence to safety protocols and ability to maintain a clean, organized workspaceAbility to lift and move materials and finished signs without machine assistanceReliable, flexible, and professional in attitude and appearanceAbility to work off-shift hours as neededEducation & Work AuthorizationHigh school diploma, trade school certificate, or GEDAuthorization to work in the United StatesPreferredPrevious experience in the sign industry or related custom fabrication tradeKnowledge of LED lighting and wiring for illuminated signsSign installation experience (on-site assembly, mounting, and finishing)Experience with paints, coatings, and finishing techniques specific to signagePost-Secondary Education or Equivalent ExperienceValid Driver LicensePhysical AbilitiesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
