Overview CNC Lathe Operator – Calisota Parts is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components that meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and production expectations. What You Will Do Set up and operate CNC lathes according to work instructions and production requirements. Load and unload raw material, workpieces, and finished parts. Perform tool changes, offsets, and routine program adjustments within assigned authority. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment. Monitor machine performance, tool condition, cycle time, and product quality. Identify and troubleshoot common machining, tooling, and dimensional issues. Communicate concerns promptly to the CNC Lead, Quality, or Engineering. Maintain accurate production, inspection, scrap, and downtime records. Perform routine machine cleaning and operator-level preventive maintenance. Support setup reduction, scrap reduction, and other continuous improvement activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Qualifications CNC lathe setup and operation experience preferred. Manufacturing or precision machining experience preferred. Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions. Ability to use precision measuring instruments. Basic understanding of tooling, offsets, and machining processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn new machines, processes, and inspection methods. Why Join Calisota Parts?
