Job Title: Case Manager Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: MCG/InterQual reviews, Acute Care Coordination discharge planning experience Description: Epic and hospital care coordination discharge planning experience is needed. RN candidates must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation. This is an open book exam on skills learned, with resources provided to help pass. A minimum score of 90% is required to pass; failure to achieve this may result in termination. There is a radius rule of 50 miles for candidates. Candidates may not hold full-time, part-time, or PRN positions with any affiliated facilities. A driver's license is required for submission and will be used to determine eligibility based on distance. Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Refusal to remove artificial nails will lead to termination of the contract. This position covers inpatient nursing units, with potential for emergency department and maternity coverage. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no weekend requirements or holiday requirements. Unit-specific orientation may last 3-5 days. Attributes that contribute to success in this role include strong communication, time management, organizational skills, leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. Additional requests for time off beyond a specified limit will not be approved after submission. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
