Position Summary Southwestern Power Group (SWPG) is seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Real Property Manager to join our team. This role is essential to the successful development and management of our energy infrastructure projects located across diverse land jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will support a wide spectrum of real property activities, including right‑of‑way (ROW) acquisition, land use permitting, and regulatory compliance. This position will report to SWPG’s Real Property Manager, and you will support field and desktop site investigations, manage external land and ROW contractors, and maintain critical relationships with local, state, and federal agencies. This position requires strong collaboration, as you will directly interface with and support SWPG’s internal environmental, engineering, and public relations teams to advance complex energy projects. Key Responsibilities Jurisdictional Site Assessment: support project site investigations and due diligence across a variety of land jurisdictions, ensuring potential project locations meet regulatory and development criteria. Contractor & ROW Management: support the management of external right‑of‑way (ROW) and land acquisition contractors to ensure timely, compliant, and cost‑effective site control across private holdings, state lands, and federal tracts (such as Bureau of Land Management or state land agencies). Agency & Stakeholder Relations: actively maintain and foster positive, long‑term working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, serving as a reliable point of contact for SWPG. Comprehensive Real Property Support: assist in managing diverse land assets and conservation easements, coordinating ongoing property maintenance, and manage Cross‑Functional Collaboration: partner closely with SWPG's environmental compliance, engineering, and governmental/public relations teams to align land assets with broader project schedules, environmental permitting requirements, and community outreach strategies. Job Requirements Arizona real estate license required (if not already acquired, it must be obtained within one year). Must have general knowledge of land legal descriptions, survey plats, easements and ROW documentation. Develop a general understanding of State, Federal and Tribal land procedures in Arizona and New Mexico; water rights with NM State Engineers and Arizona Department of Water Resources. Familiarity with GIS platforms. Open to learning new software programs (training will be offered). Ability to learn and understand our core business including generation and transmission systems. Must be willing to travel throughout the desert southwest. Must work from Phoenix, AZ. Position Offer Full Time position with retirement savings, medical, dental and vision benefits. Salary Range is $70,000 - $110,000 and final amount will be based on qualifications and experience.
