Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical / Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11.5 hours Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: - Experience with chest tubes, drips such as diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone. - Knowledge of lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients. - Familiarity with trachs and laryngectomies. - Competence in telemetry and managing complex wounds. - Central lines care, maintenance, and blood draws. Description: Registered Nurse needed for a medical-surgical unit specializing in oncology care. The unit has 24 beds dedicated to hematology, oncology, gynecology oncology, and medical-surgical patients. There are also 9 beds for hematology and cellular therapy patients. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and managing side effects in patients receiving radiation therapy and radioisotopes. Common diagnoses include lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancers. On-call duties may be required.
