Banquets | On-Call Banquet Captain ($20.27+/Hour) Grand Hyatt Seattle – Seattle, WA – US Hourly/Entry Level Employee – On-Call/Casual Hourly rate: $20.27 – $20.68, with a specific rate of $20.68 for employees with four or more years in the position. Summary Join our Banquet Team as an On‑Call Banquet Captain. In this role you will lead other crew members, coach, give direction, and may provide training. You will ensure the banquet space is visually appealing, manage linen and table settings, design food stations, provide beverage service, prepare for events, refresh rooms, and maintain a sanitary environment. Compensation includes a base hourly rate plus automatic service charge share. The service charge is 25% taxable; 16.5% of the taxable service charge is allocated to the Banquet Service Team and captains. Responsibilities Serve as a leader for banquet staff, coaching and guiding teammates. Create visually appealing banquet setups, including linen, table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Prepare banquet areas, refresh rooms, and maintain sanitary standards. Assist with training and onboarding new staff when required. Support event setup and operation according to plan and standards. Qualifications Desire to satisfy guests in a fast‑paced environment. Compensation and Benefits Hourly Rate : $20.27/hour to $20.68/hour. Service Charge Compensation : 16.5% of the taxable 25% service charge shared with the banquet team.
