Summary The Operations Supervisor at Port Hueneme, CA, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all production‑related activities at the site to ensure continuous production. This position oversees production staff and instructs workers on equipment use and technical procedures. Responsibilities Direct Operational and Production‑Related Activities Meet production goals Resolve unusual or unscheduled customer requests and respond with creative solutions to overcome workflow challenges Implement and maintain safe work practices Supervise full‑time and temporary employees, oversee and instruct on proper vehicle processing procedures Hire employees, schedule work, and oversee performance‑management initiatives Ensure employees accurately clock in and out Optimize work schedules to match staffing levels, create work assignments and monitor progress to improve work‑process efficiency Coordinate with other departments and customers to meet production goals Conduct employee observations to ensure safety and productivity procedures are followed; document and discuss results with employees Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities across departments Production Reporting Provide periodic updates of vehicle processing tender goals to meet customer deadlines Perform administrative activities, including reviewing and providing status reports to next‑level management Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs Respond effectively and courteously to customer service inquiries, requests or complaints Investigate accidents, injuries or property‑damage claims on behalf of management Handle special projects as assigned and cover other areas of production as needed Safety & Compliance Respond to unsafe conditions or hazardous waste Recommend measures to protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations Enforce safety and sanitation regulations Other Duties as Assigned Compensation Range $65,000 – $84,000 per year (subject to a compensation study upon candidate selection).
