What you'll do as: Box Header Welder Trainee / Plate Fitter

• Read and interpret blueprints
• Plate fitting and layout
• Material measurement and fabrication
• Welding fundamentals
• Problem-solving

Must pass Plate Test (at a minimum): 1” carbon steel plate test, welded in 2G position

with square plate of bottom and beveled plate on top

- Mig stringer and flux core fill and cap

- Must pass visual inspection, UT and X-ray

Skills and Experience:

Preferred Candidate Might:

- Previous manufacturing, construction, or welding experience
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
