Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM) | 3 Days / 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Weekend requirement: 6 days per 6-week schedule period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned Emergency Department patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment plans.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association only.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – American Heart Association only.
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Experience with competency-based onboarding and preceptorship programs in an Emergency Department setting.
