Heavy Equipment Operator

Safety-Conscious Equipment OperatorWe are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious equipment operators to join the team at Post Oak Landfill in Luling, TX. Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.The position is a day shift working Monday through Friday with a start time of 6am-5-6pm with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week.Duties and responsibilities:Perform maintenance around the site and facilities as neededSpreading and compacting trash using a compactorSpreading daily cover using a dozerExcavating soil using an excavatorHauling soilWorking conditions and physical effort:The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
