Find out how you can Make It Possible: Under the direction of the Supervisor, ensure that all laboratory areas are properly maintained. This is a nonprofessional position with no supervisory responsibility. Assists the laboratory staff in maintaining workstations in the clinical laboratories, e.g. stocking supplies, rotating waste containers, storing and purging specimens. Cleans laboratory equipment; examines cleaned equipment to detect damaged or broken equipment; sterilizes glassware and equipment as needed. Transports specimens between patient care areas and laboratories and delivers to the appropriate testing area This is a full-time day shift position 9:00am-5:00pm including some weekends and holidays, Monday-Friday including rotating weekends and holidays, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist hospital.

Preferred Criteria:

• Six months of laboratory or hospital-based experience

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer literacy
