The Manufacturing Engineer is the go-to technical expert within the Cell for operations associates, providing input and training to associates on standard work, continually looks and partners with operations associates to improve throughput, flow, quality, cost and supports root cause and corrective action.The Manufacturing Engineer will support the development, launch, and execution of a dedicated cell supporting machining, finishing, assembly, and test. A person that seeks a challenge, has a bias for action, and perseveres through adversity will thrive in this role.This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the following:Develop and refine best practices and standard work for all processes from incoming raw material through to packaging and shippingDeploy the manufacturing, quality, facility, and equipment strategy to achieve the annual operation plan (AOP) and KPIsCreate standard times, cost basis, and operational routingsDrive operational rigor and improvement in quality standards to reduce rework and nonconformanceChampion efforts of reducing WIP, inventory, and lead time while delivering on-time delivery and lead time improvementsAttend meetings on NCR’s, variances, and quality investigations as well as monthly operations reviewsCollect and analyzes statistical data and makes changes needed to optimize manufacturing efficiency and flowDesign and develop manufacturing fixtures and aidsComplies with all company policies and procedures including environmental, health and safetyQualifications Include:Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology + 2 years’ experienceMust possess the ability to contribute to the development of new processes or systems, and resolve complex technical problems in a high-volume environmentExperience working with a broad range of materials aluminum, steel, glass, etcExperience creating and deploying standard work within a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to manage a complex project to successful completionPersonal Characteristics:Adaptable: Embraces change.
