Avionics Installer

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) is looking for an Avionics Installer. Pay Rate $25.66 to $33.81 per hour (depending on experience, location, etc.) Job Type Full-time, Contract Contract Duration 12 months (with opportunity for extension) Benefits coverage of up to one-half of employee's medical insurance premium for a base plan eight (8) paid holidays per diem split (if qualified) three (3) sets of uniforms (if applicable) opportunity to become a direct hire after ninety (90) days Experience/Education High School diploma/GED. Experience ranges from entry level to two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related work experience; or four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams. Unique Skills Valid driver's license may be required. Participation in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program may be required. Purpose Leads, supports, or assists in the removal/installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics/electrical systems. Level I Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assists in installations, modifications and the fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings. Level II Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assists in installations, modifications, and the fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings. Level III Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provides work direction to technicians. Ensures completion of tasks within allotted time frame. Coordinates with and assists other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft. Installs/modifies/fabricates wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, engineering drawings. Trains other team members in associated work assignments. Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of employees and techniques. Completes work in innovative and effective ways Assists Engineering in resolving problems and makes repairs per engineering direction. Level IV Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provides work direction to technicians. Ensures completion of tasks within allotted time frame. Coordinates with and assists other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft. Installs/modifies/fabricates wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, engineering drawings. Other Requirements Assists with the completion of tasks within allotted time frame. Assists with maintaining required logs and records. Complies with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program and all safety regulations. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor. Possess a working knowledge of the Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and pertinent Process Specifications. Possess the proven ability to move to new tasks with only a minimal, short-term impact to established goal hours and schedule. Strong written and verbal skills required.
