Job Title

Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool)

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours/Week | Every other weekend required, holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric patients in an ICU setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float within scope of practice to all pediatric units as needed, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in critically ill pediatric patients' conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU (PICU) experience required
• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current PALS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
