Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoCarry out gas metal arc welding (GMAW) to manufacture and repair equipment items and componentsCut materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknessesWelding or joining metal and other materials into a wide range of structuresOperating different types of tools, machinery and welding equipmentEvaluating finished projects and performing quality checksPerforming all welding tasks using various welding equipment and technologiesDesigning new parts and producing them according to specifications and company needsAny other tasks as assigned by supervisorWhat You'll NeedCapable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneelingAbility to work in all weather conditionsAbility to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notificationExperience with stick, MIG, and wire feed weldingExperience with welding, cutting, fabrication and equipment maintenance preferredValid driver's license with current motor vehicle insurance and a clean driving recordHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
