Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a scientist to develop and optimize RNA purification processes for drug substance programs in early to late-stage development. The role involves designing experiments, characterizing chromatography and filtration steps, and supporting technology transfer to manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments for RNA purification processes using DoE and statistical modeling
- Define drug substance purification processes, critical parameters, and design space specifications
- Conduct high-throughput and data-rich experimental work to confirm robust process performance
- Collaborate with analytical and upstream teams to characterize RNA properties and impurity profiles
- Support technology transfer activities to GMP manufacturing sites for RNA programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in bio/chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related field with 6+ years experience
- Master's degree with 4-6 years experience, or PhD with 0-2 years experience in science
- Expertise in chromatography, filtration (TFF/UF-DF), and separation unit operations
- Proficiency with design of experiments (DoE) and multivariate data analysis
- Experience with process analytics and biophysical characterization (HPLC, CE, gel electrophoresis)
- Knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, QbD principles, and regulatory frameworks
- Technical support experience for clinical manufacturing processes and process modifications
Compensation: $110,810 - $134,281
