Staff Accountant

A growing healthcare company is looking to add a Staff Accountant that will be responsible for multiple accounting functions. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in assisting the department leaders with monthly financial reporting and close activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and review general ledger details 
• Complete assigned month-end close activities accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies 
• Record accruals, expense allocation, and month-end true-ups 
• Collect, analyze and convert data to the general ledger system 
• Prepare monthly reports for key indicators and KPIs 
• Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents and related support 
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data 
• Participate in year-end audit to compile and prepare supporting schedules, work papers, and financial reports

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience
• Proven knowledge of GAAP and internal controls 
• Strong excel skills preferred 
• Bachelor's in Accounting required
• CPA license (or CPA track) preferred
• Travel flexibility
