FACILITIES MANAGER

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Facilities Manager . This position is full-time, within the Facilities Department, working at our 184 Barton location.

Responsibilities :

• Provide effective management of the organization's infrastructure, space and assets to enhance its operational efficiency.
• Coordinates with proponent groups and building committees to facilitate rational facility planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Develops planning documents for initiation of projects to gain approval from leadership
• Prepares requests for proposals and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate hiring architectural and construction management services.
• Develops and maintains facility budgets with oversight by Director of Facilities, Safety, & Project Management.
• Develop and maintain organization capital need assessments and building preventative maintenance schedules
• Works in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager to recommend purchases and acquisition of items
• Manages and helps oversee the cleaning team to ensure clinical space meets the standards of DOH, OSHA, and the Health Dept. This will include the administration spaces also.
• Develops conceptual plans and budgets for facilities projects to support fiscaldecision-making in tandem with Director of Facilities, Safety, & Project Management
• Coordinates all parties involved in the planning, design, and construction process by assigning tasks and providing guidance for specific functions.
• Monitors and reports on all phases of planning and construction to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
• Conducts pre-construction meetings, reviews bids, and recommends award of contract.
• sends construction contracts to the Director of Compliance and Risk Management and monitors the execution of the elements contained
• Reviews contract plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate building codes and project requirements
• Receives pay requests from professional consultants and contractors and recommends approval forpayment, or negotiation.
• Monitors and facilitates resolution of construction contract disputes and claims.
• Prepare project reports and control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
• Coordinates with facility occupants and assists the move-in to new facilities.
• May prepare or participate in the preparation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals and other written material and documentation as required.
• Ensures effective, timely written and oral communication with consultants and internal customers during all phases of design and construction.
• Ensure all actions, personal conduct, and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner at all times.
• Ability to function autonomously and discern when to seek direction, and when to make decisions.
• Update processes for efficiency and report to supervisor recommended changes or needs as appropriate
• Meet with supervisors in the formation of building and team needs and consider requests when planning and developing projects
• Attend space planning meetings and provide recommendations on moves, acquisitions and planning
• Attend monthly JRCHC Patient Safety and Risk Management meetings and related meetings and report on projects, building updates, needs, risks and safety related issues

Qualifications :

• BA Degree in facility management, construction science, project management, or other related fields and 3 years of experience or combination.
• Knowledge of facilities planning and construction management processes and procedures
• Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices.
• Knowledge of status of costs of new construction, escalation factors, and market trends.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards of practice.
• Knowledge of laws governing construction contracts and contracting

Rate : $64,000 salaried. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
