Salary/Hourly Rate $30/hr - $33/hr Position Overview As a Junior Accounting Analyst focused on Accounts Payable, you will be the go-to support for keeping financial operations accurate, timely, and running smoothly. From processing invoices and expense reports to assisting with AR and cash management, you will play a key role in ensuring the finance team stays organized and efficient. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured accounting work, thrives in a detail-heavy environment, and wants exposure to both AP and broader corporate finance functions within a science-based organization. This is a 4-month contract with potential for extension. Responsibilities Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice review, coding, and payment execution (wires and checks). Serve as a key point of contact for vendor inquiries and AP-related communication. Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions. Support Accounts Receivable activities, including collections and revenue-related accounting for community solar projects. Assist with cash management, disbursements, and financing-related accounting entries (loan draws, flow of funds, etc.). Maintain and update balance sheet schedules, including prepaids, accruals, depreciation, and amortization. Collaborate with corporate accounting and finance teams on ad hoc projects and reporting needs. Required Experience/Skills 2+ years of experience in accounting, AP, or financial analysis. Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and vendor management. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Advanced Excel skills, including Index-Match, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables. Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience/Skills Exposure to Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Experience working in a corporate accounting or finance operations environment. Strong organizational and communication skills.
